And now for everybody else 😈.
This is the part where I do my sales pitch. I’ll keep it short. Inspiring. And hopefully minimize the instinctual ‘grift feeling’ response.
Okay. So I make free Blender tutorials on Youtube. You already knew that. What you might not have known is I started back in $2019$ (during college). I was a naive sophomore. A math major, and a comp-sci minor. Maybe that peaks through in the videos. Anyways, I started blending in v$2.8$, even before geometry nodes (gasp). Here is my first ever tutorial.
This is kinda-sorta the only job I’ve ever had - using Blender that is. That would not have been possible without crowd-funding. I would have quit a long time ago. So to me, membership is everything.
Here is how I see it as a whole:
\[\text{Reason to Join} = \frac{\text{Benefit}}{Cost}\]
A good deal, of course, needs to benefit you. And the cost? Let’s keep that as low as possible.
Starting with the cost. It is exactly $5/month. Cancel whenever. Rejoin whenever. And that price won’t go up.
Now for the sparklies. Generally what you care about. What do you get in return for that precious $5? Simple:
Project Files
- This means .blend files. Organized. Labelled. A completed version.
Early Access + Exclusive Tutorials
- I post my videos a day early. Sometimes I throw in a extended bonus.
Ad-Free Experience
- Monetization is off. Sponsored segments are cut out.
Write-Ups
- My favorite part of this site. I make companion write-ups.
Here are some free samples:
- 2/15/26 SVD
- 5/25/26 Fluid Solver
- 6/19/26 OBJ Parsing
The Archive
- Between $2019-2024$ I had (and still technically have) a Patreon. I ported all the files (literally hundreds) over.
Picture each feature as $1, that is a ridiculously low price. Some of the .blends alone are worth $10\times$ the membership price (and have in fact been turned into standalone addons). Then… why price it so low? Because it feels good. Less grifty. More open. If it were up to me, I’d be crowd-funded exclusively. Maybe one day that will be possible.
If this sounds good to you, or you just want to effectively tip me, this is how.
Thanks you for reading and happy blending.
